HP Hair Evolution

Ignore the fact that it's the same picture of Snape over and over and over again...

This is hilarious, and so true. Harry, Hermione, Ron and most of the other characters looks change so much, yet Snape looks the same.
The worst year for hair in my opinion was Year 4 when all the boys had long shaggy hair that looked really bad.
And then of course there's year 1... I don't think we even need to talk about that one.

What do you guys think of this post? Which year was your favourite hair-wise? (I feel like that's a really weird question...)

Hope you have an enchanting day/evening/night,

If I Went To Hogwarts

This is so true! Most Hogwarts students don't appreciate how lucky they are. I would love to trade places with them.

Here's what I don't get: Harry should appreciate going to Hogwarts, even if does mean a lot of homework, because he gets to be away from the Dursley's and go where his parents grew up and fell in love. I understand Ron, because he grew up in the wizarding world, but Harry should really appreciate it more.
Sometimes I really just don't get that kid.

Really though, try putting yourself in Harry's shoes. Imagine not knowing anything about your parents and living with your horrible relatives. Then you find out your a wizard (or witch) and that you can go to the school your parents went to. The school where your parents made the best memories, where they fell in love. I will also add that you have Albus Dumbledore as a Headmaster, and that you will have the most... interesting teachers you can imagine.
Would you complain?
Out of curiosity, what house would you be in at Hogwarts? Let me know in the comments! Someone told me they didn't know how to comment, so I'm just gonna tell you quickly. If you click on the title of this post, it will take you to a new page. Scroll down, and there will be a comment section. Fred and The Marauders

Can someone please write a fanfic about this? Please? That would be such a good story!

Can we just appreciate how... I don't want to say cute, but I can't think of another word. Okay, this post is so cute and just gives me such good feels.
Fred is a true marauder, definitely more than Peter was. I just love the idea of him being friends with the marauders (even if it as ghosts)
I've also loved the idea of the marauders being ghosts at Hogwarts. Especially Remus (and Tonks even though she's not a marauder) being there for when Teddy goes to school. I have a lot to say about Teddy, Remus, and Tons, but I'll save that for another time.
I think it would be great for Harry to have a chance to meet his parents.
What do you guys think? Can you imagine this happening? Let me know in the comments!

Update: Friday Posts

So you may have noticed that I haven't been posting on Fridays every week. The thing about Friday posts is that I want to write reviews of books, movies or fanfics. So, of course, I don't have something to review every week.
I'm really sorry I don't post every week on Fridays, but please understand that I don't always have something to write about.

Hope you have an amazing day/evening/night,

After Ever After by Paint

After Ever After is a song by Jon Cozart (Paint) on Youtube.
The song starts off with "If you've ever wondered why Disney tales all end in lies, here's what happened after all their dreams came true." He sings from the princesses points of view, singing about what happened after the movies ended.
He's made two of these songs (After Ever After and After Ever After 2). In the first song, he sang about Ariel (The Little Mermaid), Jasmine (Aladdin), Belle (Beauty and the Beast) and Pocahontas (Pocahontas)
It was posted on March 12 2013, and has more than 56 million views.

I love this song so much! I know all the lyrics, and constantly sing it at school (my friends hate me so much). It's so creative and fun to listen to.
Be warned though: if you listen to the lyrics, this song can ruin your childhood. Especially the Elsa part in After Ever After 2.
It is a really good song though, and Paint is pretty awesome in general. If you didn't know, he's also the guy who sang Harry Potter In 99 Seconds.

Have you listened to After Ever After? Did you like it? Let me know in the comments! Personally, I want him to make a 3rd one, but about the princes instead.

I hope you have an amazing day/evening/night,

Straightest Person

(Minor Spoilers For House Of Hades and Blood of Olympus)

I find that Percy and Jason talk like this a lot, and it's actually really funny to read.
For the record though, Jason looks amazing with glasses. I'm mean really.
...
...
...
*awkward silence* (It's only awkward if you make it awkward)
Right, moving on.

I personally don't like to put people in stereotypes, so I obviously don't think Percy and Jason are 'acting gay' or anything. I just find that their bromance is so funny. If anyone who didn't know a thing about the books read this conversation, they might take it a bit differently than people who are hardcore shippers of Percabeth and Jasper.
SIDE NOTE: Do you guys say Jiper or Jasper? There doesn't seem to be one way that's agreed upon.
What do you guys think about Nico being gay? I personally think it was a good idea. I'm a huge supporter of LGBTQ+ Rights, and I think this was a good idea. It also helps explain why Nico was so obsessed with Percy, and why people thought he had a crush on Annabeth. I never really picked up on that throughout the books, but a lot of people did. I like that Rick made it so that he didn't have a crush on her, he was jealous of her.
I just thought it was a good idea.

What do you think of this post? Do you agree with what I said? Let me know in the comments! (The comments are looking a bit empty...)
I hope you have a lovely day/evening/night,

Cinderella (2015 Version)

Cinderella: The story follows the fortunes of young Ella whose merchant father remarries following the tragic death of her mother. Keen to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother Lady Tremaine and her daughters Anastasia and Drizella into the family home. But when Ella's father suddenly and unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. Ella could easily begin to lose hope. Yet, despite the cruelty inflicted upon her, Ella is determined to honor her mother's dying words and to "have courage and be kind." And then there is the dashing stranger she meets in the woods. Unaware that he is really a prince, not merely an employee at the palace, Ella finally feels she has met a kindred soul.

I can easily say the 2015 version of Cinderella is one of my favourite movies of all time. It came on Netflix a couple weeks ago, so naturally I've watched it at least 10 times.
I was never a big fan of the fairytale, but this movie blew me away. It's hard to explain why. I just love the way they portrayed Ella. Sometimes when I don't have enough time to watch the full movie, I'll watch the trailers, because even they just give you the good feels.
This story is just so happy and cute. But it also reveals what happens behind-the-scenes of the fairytale. The way the stepmother manipulates people, the prince being torn between love and duty.
It's simply amazing.

Have you seen the movie? Did you like it? Let me know in the comments! I would love to hear your thoughts :)

I hope you have an enchanting day/evening/night

She Just Fell Off That Cliff?

This is true. Very true.

This doesn't just apply to the PJO fandom either. Honestly, no matter what fandom you're in, this post applies to you. Whenever someone tells you that they hate whatever you like, you want to push them off a cliff (or is that just me...?)
I like the paramedic in this: so she just fell off that cliff? Please, it is never that simple when a fangirl is involved. People say fangirls are maniacs. I say we're just very passionate about what we like. And sure we're a bit crazy... but isn't everyone?
I actually remember my friend once posted a picture that said "I mentally murder the people I don't like"

and she tagged me in the middle of it. Not because she wants to murder me (as my other friend thought), but because she knew I did that all the time.

Do you mentally murder the people you don't like? Let me know in the comments! (Seriously guys, the comment section is a bit empty)

Family Luke... You Promised

Oh, don't mind me. I'm just bawling my eyes out in the corner.
This is one of the saddest posts I have ever seen in my life. Like, why did someone make this? Did they want to torture us?
Honestly, I never really liked Luke when I was reading the books. I mean, I guess I thought he was okay in the first book, but then he, you know, became Kronos and my opinion of him kind of went downhill.
But after finishing the series, I'm starting to realize he was actually a really good character. And after what happened in The Last Olympian... Well I guess Luke was a better guy than I gave him credit for.
He really was a good brother to Annabeth. She was just 7 years old when he and Thalia found her, but instead of just leaving her on the streets like they could have done, they took her with them. They protected her (and in some cases, she protected them). The thing I resent the most about Luke isn't that he went evil. It's that he left Annabeth behind. I mean, I know he still cared about her, but I wish he stayed. I wish he put her as more of a priority.
I didn't realize how many people liked Luke, until people started commenting on my fanfic, asking me to bring him in. Saying that he was their favourite character. It's funny that someone so horrible could be loved by so many. I wonder if that many people cared about him before he died, or if it was his sacrifice that won them over.

What do you guys think? Did you cry at this post? Do you like Luke? Let me know in the comments! (Literally no one comments, and it makes me so sad).

What Disney Lied About

This is so true! I wish animals were willing to clean my house. That would be so much fun :)
Can you imagine forest creatures helping you clean your house? My house would be so clean, all the time.
I don't need a prince. I just need forest creatures to spend time with.
Wow that makes my life sound sad...

Seraphina by Rachel Hartman

SeraphinaFour decades of peace have done little to ease the mistrust between humans and dragons in the kingdom of Goredd. Folding themselves into human shape, dragons attend court as ambassadors, and lend their rational, mathematical minds to universities as scholars and teachers. As the treaty’s anniversary draws near, however, tensions are high.
Seraphina Dombegh has reason to fear both sides. An unusually gifted musician, she joins the court just as a member of the royal family is murdered—in suspiciously draconian fashion. Seraphina is drawn into the investigation, partnering with the captain of the Queen’s Guard, the dangerously perceptive Prince Lucian Kiggs. While they begin to uncover hints of a sinister plot to destroy the peace, Seraphina struggles to protect her own secret, the secret behind her musical gift, one so terrible that its discovery could mean her very life.
In her exquisitely written fantasy debut, Rachel Hartman creates a rich, complex, and utterly original world. Seraphina’s tortuous journey to self-acceptance is one readers will remember long after they’ve turned the final page.

Seraphina will be one of the most original dragon books you read. In this kingdom, dragons and humans live in harmony. However, when a murder that looks suspiciously dragon-like takes place only a couple weeks before the treaty is to be renewed, people start to question whether the peace is a good idea.
The book is told by Seraphina, a girl who works at the palace, and has reason to want the peace to last. Seraphina's character is so amazing to read about. She is brave and smart, and not an annoying main character that shows up in many YA novels.
Throughout the book, you will be guessing at what will happen next, and questioning who you can trust. But no matter what you think will happen, you won't be able to guess the plot twists that take place.
I really liked the way Seraphina talked, and her great descriptions of the kingdom. I could really imagine the beautiful palace, from Seraphina's room to the dungeons.
The only problem I had with the book was that it was a bit slow at the beginning. However once you get into it, the pace picks up and you won't be able to put it down. I was enjoying the book so much, I didn't want the book to end. Definitely a must-read for any fantasy-lovers.

Have you read Seraphina? Did you like it? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you have a spooky Halloween,

NaNoWriMo

For those of you who don't know, NaNoWriMo or National Novel Writing Month, is a yearly event that takes place throughout the month of November. It's internet based, and it's goal is to get people to write a novel in a month. There are two websites for it:
http://nanowrimo.org
http://ywp.nanowrimo.org

The first one is for anyone who is 13 years old or older, and wants to have a goal of 50,000 words or more. The second one is the "Young Writer's Program" which is meant for anyone up to the age of 18. On this one, your word-count goal can whatever you want.
NaNoWriMo is just fun to do. It doesn't cost any money, and you can meet other writers who are trying to do the exact same thing as you.
If any of you are doing NaNoWriMo this November on the Young Writer's Program, then you should add me as a writing buddy! My username is live-love-laugh.

Have you participated in NaNoWriMo? How many years have you done it? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you have an exceptional day/evening/night,

Sorting Hat Quizzes

This is so true! Sorting Hat Quizzes ask the most stupid questions, and make it really obvious what house each answer is. So if you want to be in Gryffindor, you'll obviously choose a, and if you want to be in Slytherin, you'll pick d.
The nice thing is that now you can take a sorting quiz on Pottermore that will tell you you're actual house (I'm in Hufflepuff in case you're curious).
Even with Pottermore though, some of the answers were a bit obvious. But it's still way better than the other quizzes you'll find online.
The thing is, it's impossible to make a sorting like you'd get at Hogwarts. The Sorting Hat looks in your mind, sees all your secrets-- you can't hide anything. But with quizzes, you can lie about whatever you want, to get the house you want. Or maybe you just aren't willing to admit that you're selfish, so you're giving the most honest answer. That's just the way humans are.

Have you guys taken your Sorting Quiz on Pottermore? Let me know what house you're in if you have! And if you haven't, let me know what house you think you belong in.

I hope you have an enchanting day/evening/night,

If The Marauders Texted by RagingDalek

If the Marauders Texted: What if the Marauders had all the smart phone devices (and more modern culture with it) that we have today? What if they actually worked at Hogwarts? Would Sirius be texting in class? Would James tell them every little thing about his love life? Or would they fight...

If The Marauders Texted and If The Marauders Texted 2 aren't the most traditional fanfics. They are text messages shared between the marauders during school. And they are so hilarious.
I can honestly imagine the marauders saying these things. The conversations are just so funny and random, and fun to read about.

Have you read If The Marauders Texted? Did you like it? Let me know in the comments!

Ultimate Harry Potter Tag (Day 7 of Week of Harry Potter)

Ultimate Harry Potter tag

1) Favourite book?
Harry Potter and the Prisoner Of Azkaban (I mean the marauders and the map... Need I say more?)
2) Least favourite book?
I don't know... I haven't read them in a while. I think I have to go with Goblet of Fire
3) Favourite movie?
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
4) Least favourite movie?
Harry Potter and the HalfBlood Prince. I actually didn't understand it at all until last year, because I found it so confusing
5) Favourite quote?
"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

<--- That is my legit phone case

6) Favourite Weasley?
Fred and George, Ginny or Charlie. I can't decide :)
7) Favourite female character?
Nymphadora Tonks. She's just so fun and lovable.
8) Favourite villain?
Bellatrix Lestrange or Dolores Umbridge. I always have trouble deciding. Bellatrix was a lot more of a "traditional" villain, and her personality was just so wicked and horrible. On the other hand, Umbridge... well from yesterday's post, I think we determined my feelings on her. I hated more than Voldemort.
9) Favourite male character?

Come on guys, it's me. It's obviously Remus John Lupin, otherwise known as Moony. I don't even know why I love him so much, I just do.
10) Favourite professor?
McGonagall. She's just great.
(Not counting Dumbledore, or any of the DADA Professors, because that would make it too hard to choose)

11) Would you rather A) wash Snape’s hair or B) spend a day listening to Lockhart rant about himself?

Wash Snape's hair. It would be a bit disgusting, but I'd prefer that than a day of listening to Lockhart.
12) Would you rather duel A) an elated Bellatrix or B) and angry Molly?
Elated Bellatrix. It would be terrifying but there is no way in hell I am duelling an angry Molly.
13) Would you rather travel to Hogwarts via A) Hogwarts Express or B) Flying Car?
Obviously the Hogwarts Express
14) Would you rather A) Kiss Voldemort or B) give Umbridge a bubble bath?
Kiss Voldemort. Who would ever want to be near Umbridge?

15) Would you rather A) ride a Hippogriff or B) ride a Firebolt?
Hippogriff. Hippogriff all the way.
16) Is there a character you felt differently about in the movies?
Winky, since she wasn't even in the movies at all.
17) Is there a movie you preferred to the book?
No, books are always better.
18) Richard Harris or Michael Gambon as Dumbledore?
I liked Richard Harris MUCH better in terms of how I imagined Dumbledore. And he was the original Dumbledore, there's no fighting that.
19) Your top thing (person or event) that wasn’t in the movie that you wanted there the most?
In the Deathly Hallows where Dudley tells Harry that he isn’t a waste of space.
20) If you could remake any of the Harry Potter movies which would it be
Prisoner of Azkaban. I feel like there was a lot that could be improved on, and some stuff that wasn't explained. Such as, how did Remus and Sirius know about the map? No one thought to ask them.
21 Which house was your first gut feeling you’d be a part of?
Ravenclaw. I was such an avid reader, it just seemed like somewhere I'd belong (I didn't really think about the whole 'smart' aspect)
22) Which house were you actually sorted into on Pottermore?
Hufflepuff, which I do think is a good place for me
23) Which class would be your favourite?
Charms. It seems like so much fun :) Or maybe Ancient Runes...
24) Which spell do you think would be most useful to learn?
Accio. That would save my life.
25) Which character do you think you’d instantly become friends with?
Neville.
26) If you could own one of the three Hallows, which would it be?
The Invisibility Cloak. I don't think I'd have many uses for the other two and the cloak would be pretty useful.
27) Is there any aspect of the books you’d want to change?
More memories of the marauders (and not just Snape's memories). I'd like to see more about what they did when they were at school.

28) Favourite Marauder?

Do you even have to ask?
29) If you could bring one character back to life, which would it be?
There are so many characters I want to bring back to the life, but I think the top one would be Fred. It's hard to imagine George living his life without his brother my his side. It makes me emotional just thinking about it.
That being said, I would like to see the marauders and Tonks as ghosts.
30) Hallows or Horcruxes?
Hallows. I don't particularly like the idea of splitting my soul.

Well there you have it, 1 Week of Harry Potter has been completed! I hope you liked it, I know I had fun making it :)

I hope you have a mystical (does that even make sense?) day/evening/night,

I Hate Dolores Umbridge (Day 6 of Harry Potter Week)

I think one thing all Potterheads can agree on is that they hated this woman more than Voldemort.
She wasn't like many villains we encounter in books. She dressed in pink and loved kittens. She drank pink tea in cute pink teacups, and spoke in a high girlish voice. She kept her demeanour cute, but on the inside, she was cruel and evil.
When Harry spoke out and said the truth-- that Lord Voldemort was back and rising to power, Umbridge made him use a blood quill.
She lied about her blood status and pretended to be a pureblood, so she could help get rid of the muggleborns.
And it's not just us who don't like her. McGonagall hated her too.

The worst part of Dolores Umbridge that everything she did was in the name of the law. She punished people the way she saw fit, for their so called "crimes." She was cold-hearted, a liar, and wished to conflict pain on anyone who crossed her path.
Dolores Umbridge is one of the worst villains you will ever read about.

What do you guys think of Umbridge? Do you hate her as much as I do? Let me know in the comments!

How Do You Answer The Phone? (Day 5 of Harry Potter Week)

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this post. I kind of feel bad that I want to laugh at it, but I do find what Harry said funny compared to what the others say.
I know Harry's situation isn't funny, but the way this post is written, it actually made me laugh.
Can you imagine Harry actually getting a phone call, and the person asking if it was Lily? I mean, Lily died when Harry was 1, surely people would know she was dead.
But what if someone didn't? What if they called Harry (I have no idea how they would have gotten a hold of his phone number), and asked for Lily. Then Harry would have to tell the person that his mother, probably the person's friend, was dead.
I don't know, maybe I'm looking a bit deeper than I should be. But honestly, can you imagine Harry having to say that to someone?
"Hi, is this Lily Potter?"
"No, she's dead, this is her son."

What do you guys think? Can you imagine that happening? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you have an incredible day/evening/night,

Friendzones (Day 4 of Harry Potter Week)

You know, sometimes I feel bad for Snape... then I remember that he called Lily a mudblood, and I hate him again.
I do kind of feel bad for him about the whole friend zone thing though. He loved Lily so much, but she just didn't return that love. Even when she snapped at Potter, complained how annoying and arrogant he was, she never thought of Snape and how he's been there for her the whole time (Anyone else just think of 'You Belong With Me' by Taylor Swift?) He loved her so much, and she didn't give him a second glance.
The thing about Severus/Lily though is that they weren't soulmates the way Lily and James were. Lily's patronus was a doe and James' was a stag. They fit together. Snape's patronus was also a doe, because he was so obsessed with Lily. It wasn't love like Jily.
But then the "always" thing came up... I just feel bad that he loved her so much like that. That he had to watch her fall in love with his enemy. It must have been really hard for him, and then she died for the child she had with James...
I may not like Snape, but I'll admit he had it pretty hard.

What do you guys think of this post? Do you agree with what I said? Do you like Severus/Lily or James/Lily? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you have a amazing day/evening/night,

Ravenclaw Symbol (Day 3 of Harry Potter Week)

This is honestly so true! It would make so much more sense for it to be a raven. I'm sure there's some reason for it being an eagle, because the eagle's linked to smartness somehow, but then wouldn't it make sense for the house to be called EagleClaw?
It's such a basic thing that I actually didn't really think about until I saw this post. I know none of the other houses have the same name as their symbol, but none of the other houses have an animal in their name. To be fair though, 'Slytherin' does remind me of 'snake.'
Since everything else in the Harry Potter series is so well planned out, I think there is a reason for it being an eagle.
I just think it's funny that something so simple isn't there. Even Dobby has a reason for being named that, but when it comes to Ravenclaw, they don't match up. If I were a student at Hogwarts (One can wish...), then I would probably assume that the symbol for RavenClaw was a Raven. It's just common sense.

What do you guys think? Do you agree with what I said? Let me know in the comments!
I hope you have a marvellous day/evening/night,

The Year We... (Weasley Twins) Day 2 of Harry Potter Week

Your welcome for hurting your feels.

I remember the first time I saw this post, I didn't actually understand it. I had to re-read it a few times before I figured it out.
Then, when I did figure it out, I started to cry.
I think we can all agree that the Weasley Twins are some of the best characters from Harry Potter. From singing the Hogwarts Song at the tune of a funeral march, to giving Harry the Marauders Map, to making their own joke shop, Fred and George Weasley give the series a nice humourous edge.
Then Fred died, and it all came crashing down. Although there were other characters I would call my "favorite" characters *Cough* Remus *Cough*, I think Fred's death hurt me the most.
And this post... I cry just thinking about it. It reminds me of how Geroge must have felt when his brother-- his twin, his partner-in-crime, his best friend-- left him. When "we" became "I".

What do you guys think of this post? Does it make you as sad as it makes me? Let me know in the comments!

I hope you have a fantabulous (yes I just said that) day/evening/night,

Was Voldemort A Virgin? (Day 1 of Harry Potter Week)

Well, that's one thing I never thought to ask myself: Was Voldemort a virgin?
I find the answers to this question pretty funny. To be fair, frankienathanieljonas had a good point about the fact that Tom Riddle was pretty hot when he was in 5th year. Plus, he was a prefect, which meant that some of the female prefects probably liked him.
But on the other hand, Tom Riddle wasn't really the most normal kid. I mean, he liked to make bad things happen to people who were mean to him. I think that if a girl broke up with him, she would find herself in hospital wing pretty quickly. And even when he was a teenager, he didn't seem like someone anyone would want to date. But maybe that's just me, knowing what he would become later on in life.
Anyway, what are your thoughts on the matter? Please let me know in the comments!

Hope you have an amazing day/evening/night,

Week of 1 Fandom

So I decided that it would be fun to sometimes set a week in which everyday, I will post something relevant to one certain fandom.
For example, starting today, I decided I would do one week of Harry Potter posts. So I will post something relevant to Harry Potter everyday, ending next Tuesday night.
I think this will be fun to do, so I hope you like it too! If there's a certain fandom you want me to post about, let me know!
So... yeah.

My first HP Post will be live in 2 minutes!

Hope you have an amazing day/evening/night,

Sirius Black Is A Drama Queen

I don't know about you, but I adore Sirius Black (I mean, I like Remus better... but Sirius is pretty cool too).
And he is definitely a HUGE drama queen. I don't know about any of you, but I love to read HP fanfics about the marauders. (If any of you have fanfiction.net, when you're browsing through HP fanfics, you can select "Marauder's Era" under "World").
And one of Sirius Black's characteristics that is in every fanfic is that he is a drama queen. Sirius always makes stuff a much bigger deal than it is, and he acts like everything life or death.
The funny thing is, Remus is the complete opposite of him. So whenever Sirius says something along the lines of, "Oh my god, I'm gonna die!" Remus is there to say, "Sirius, it's not that big of a deal." Then James will probably bring up Lily, and Peter will just stand there staring at all of them.
This definitely gives Sirius some trouble in The Prisoner of Azkaban, when they're talking in the Shrieking Shack. But I think it was a good idea to make him like that, because it makes him seem guilty. As readers (Or watchers if you're talking about the movies), we were constantly wondering what was going on. Sirius was acting guilty, but Professor Lupin trusted him... Were they conspiring against Harry? Were they evil? We were constantly wondering, trying to figure out what would happen next.
By now, I think we've determined that J.K. Rowling is an amazing author who really thinks this stuff through, and will never cease to amaze us.

Well I guess that's a good place to end it. What do you think of Sirius Black? Do you love him? Do you agree with what I said?
Let me know in the comments!

I hope you a magical day/evening/night,

Always Love Yourself

This isn't something I would normally post on here, but I think it's important to talk about.
(And sorry this isn't a normal upload day)

Everyone feels insecure at least once in their life. Most people feel insecure on a daily basis. People keep trying to spread the message, but I find that it doesn't really work. My reaction is often either "Sure, that's easy for you to say" or I don't think they really mean what they said.
But I'm telling you this with complete honesty, from the bottom of my heart. Everyone is equal- it doesn't matter what colour your skin is, whether you are male or female (Yes, transgender people are the gender they identify themselves as), your sexuality, or anything.
The thing everyone needs to remember is that everyone around you has felt insecure before. Everyone around you has hated their body. They think they're fat or they don't like their hair or the way their glasses look on their face. They look at other people and think "Why can't I look like them?" But here's the thing. The person you just looked at? The one you think is beautiful? They probably think they're ugly. They feel just as insecure as you do, and maybe they even wish they looked like you.
Everyone is going through the same thing. The thing is, what everyone is trying to tell you is that you should love yourself. And that is important. But you know what is just as important? Stop comparing yourself to other people. Because everyone has something they want to change about themselves. People see their own flaws, and other people's perfections.
For example: I used to always hate my curly hair. I thought it was ugly and horrible and I wished that I could have straight hair like my friends. But you know what they said to me? They said I was lucky, because they wanted curly hair like mine.
So love yourself. Love everything from the colour of your skin, to your beautiful hair, to even your braces (I think braces look so pretty!). And remember that there is always someone out there who wishes they could look like you.
